Hope Driven Coaching

Just before teachers reported back, MPS Athletic Director Brian Fitzgerald invited Coach Joe Blankenship of Hope Rising USA and Hope Driven Coaching to speak to all athletic coaches of Moore Public Schools.

The program focuses on truly engaging with players on what they have or are experiencing that affects their overall performance or non-performance on their team. The HDC initiative states that when coaches understand "the neuroscience behind a young athlete's development, behavior, and performance - including the impacts of stress and trauma - it leads to more effective coaching, training and performance."

HDC is an initiative of Hope Rising USA founded by Oklahoma First Lady Sarah Still and OU Hope Research Center Founding Director Dr. Chan Hellman.
